I grew up in Iowa where I was raised on strong mid-western values...and meat and potatoes! I enjoyed the safe, small town nature of riding my bike anywhere and everywhere, knowing all your neighbors, and being involved in our community.
Growing up I was participated in softball, basketball, gymnastics, choir, band, theater, art, church groups, and more!
Fun Fact: Prior to moving to Texas at age 14, I was priveldged to catch for the Varsity softball team at Heelan High School in Sioux City.
I graduated high school from Plano Senior High School in Plano, Texas and a graduating class of almost 1,800 students! During my time in Texas I was fortunate to play softball year round, and then found myself at Colorado State University on their D1 softball team.
I graduated from CSU with a Bachelor of Science in Business with an emphasis in Marketing. Shortly after I accepted a job at a private equity firm in Dallas, Texas and worked there for 3 years before deciding to move to Colorado Springs and help my father start up a website/content company.
A client I represented offered me a job I couldn't refuse, and over the 6 years I worked for Convergent Design, working my way up to Chief Marketing Officer. I traveled the world frequently, working with companies like Canon and Sony in the cinema and episodic TV market.
Growing weary of my time away from family and young children, I decided I needed a break. In 2016 I retired from that job and spent a memorable year as MOM; the hardest job I have arguably ever had!
Today, my son is 16 and daughter is 14. We keep busy juggling their activities (and these days online school). They are the light of my life! We have two rescue dogs, a lab-shepard mix and shitzu-pom mix. I'm a sucker for pooches!
I met my now husband coaching Little League baseball together! He has been a 'career realtor' from the day I met him at age 25. There were many-a-days we struggled to make it by as he navigated the 2007-2009 market crash. But he successfully has climbed his way to the top and is now an Owner Broker of The Cutting Edge, REALTORS! Transitioning into real estate and joining him has been a natural fit for us -- I wish I'd done it sooner!
